2. I learned that we don't have racist bigotry at our school.

Reflection
1. This project was fairly easy; the only hard part was finding a good source. Most sources were either too long to bother reading or just not interesting.
Conclusion
Most people disagree with African Americans being the ones who are commiting crimes. 32% of the people who took the survey disagreed. This seems good since the majority of the people who took the survey question think this way because it tells us that (at least at our school) we don't go by racist stereotypes.

Recommendations
Some other questions that should be investigated could be "How do racist people's political views differ from a non racist person's"?. I think a lot of people would find this topic interesting. There is nothing to change as racism will last forever as long as the people who follow it exist, and they always will, the best thing to do is to stay away from them.

Statistics

Close to 100 high school freshman responded in a survey to the statement that African Americans are more likely to commit crimes. The majority of the people disagree, which is 32%, which is actually surprising because less people strongly disagree, which got 25%. A good solid amount of people were neutral, which was 26%. To my surprise, some people actually agreed with the statement. 7% strongly agreed and 9% agreed.

Research summary
Nobody is born a racist person. Racism is not biologically nor genetically determined, but it is learned. Racism is perpetuated by systems of social injustice. This is a path with the least amount of resistance, or is not announced publicly if you are racist.
It still exists a lot in the south today because of southern white supremacists not willing to change. Racism is a social construct, and is not innate. Most people like to express free will. A quote by a French Philosopher says "Nature has not made us evil; it is bad education, it is bad models, it is bad legislation that currupt us.
Racism grew larger as slavery was abolished and people who still believed in it were willing to do anything to get it back. Black people consisted of most of the slaves, and since they were the majority who became free, racist people target them because they don't approve of their freedom.

Why do people become racist?
Racism is a very big problem around around the world. There have been lots of wars fought over race and although there haven't been any wars fought in the U.S. about race, it is still a big problem. I have never seen anyone act racist, but I have surely seen it on TV, so it is obviously still around.I plan to learn to see if there have been questions about why people become racist and if there any significant factors that cause it, or is it just something personal.
